Added a 6"+ silver aro to my pond. Hes loving the new space and the critters that live around the pond. Will update this as he fills out which im sure will be pretty fast since hes already bulked up quite a bit in the week since I got him.

Any thoughts on maybe adding an asian in a few months?

Thanks guys

Yeah it's in my yard I moved to the tropics a few years back so finally possible to keep an aro in proper conditions. Unfortunately ps are a little harder to come across and don't really have the time for them quite yet.

Trigga!  Love that man.  He looks like he is so happy to have some room for laps.

Thanks! Most definitely loving all the space, want to get a stronger pump to try and get a bit more of a current near the filter outlet. But wondering whether that will stop the frogs laying eggs.

Quick update video I shot earlier today. Watch in 1080p to really appreciate it.

He's grown a bit and fattened up nice and well. His fins and scales have also fully healed and he is definitely super comfortable now in his home.

Yeah it's pretty awesome to see him cruising around using as you said every inch of the pond as opposed to aros in tanks that only go back and forth all day long

Getting him a couple buddies real soon

To make a long story short woke up one morning to find that my solo aro had disappeared from the pond... Its monsoon season so the only thing I can think of is he would have jumped out and got carried off by a cat or a bird...

I was a little upset for a bit but decided to try again this time with three aros.. bought these guys last thursday... this video is from earlier today check it out..

Some new koi also added.

Once again watch in highest possible resolution i don't know why its playing at 480 it won't let me change it.

Aro's jump for prey in the wild. It might have gone after something flying by. A 2 foot fence around the pond should keep it in.

I'm also interested to see if they develop "look-down" like they do in aquariums.

If nobody came back from the future to stop you, it wasn't that bad of a decision.
